This special watercolor technique enables the artist to easily make changes again and again and yet still retain that beautiful, spontaneous watercolor look. It also allows for a more finished look comparable to oil paintings. This is the technique used by Burt Silverman, one of the world's foremost realist painters, and demonstrated in his book BREAKING THE RULES OF WATERCOLOR.
Felipe Echevarria has employed this method almost exclusively for 18 years for both his commercial and fine art paintings. He will do a one-hour demonstration followed by two hours of class instruction/painting time.
