Taking a cue from Aboriginal dot paintings, this class will stimulate the imagination of telling your own "story" using Central Australian Aboriginal designs.  A demonstration and a short history of Aboriginal design will be presented.  Handouts will be provided with designs and their meanings.  You can create a piece up to 22 x 32" or smaller.

Using Black Arches paper, the class will draw their personal imagery with symbols and design.  Collaged pieces will be decorated and larger areas will be painted.  This is a process that will take critical planning.

We  will continue with paint and collage application with pastel embellishment.  The instructor will demonstrate a quick and easy method to painting all the dots without causing your eyes to cross!
